Basically, Media is the Fourth pillar of democracy this was coined by sir Thomas Carley. Reason behind the Media is called the fourth pillar is due to important role of media in shaping public opinion. Media plays a crucial role in shaping a healthy democracy

Now, the most important question is..Why media offices is called a press?

Press comes from the process that is involved behind printing technology. As printing involves pressure at the time and therefore the word “Press” is creates out a pressure over certain areas it is commonly used for newsmakers and printers and news editors.

*Pressure free press plays a vital role in democratic societies, it enables the open exchange of information and awareness, among citizens, businessman's, citizens, political parties, and governments.

*The press acts as a bridge, medium of communication between the government and the people.

*A free press helps to inform the public.

*It reflects the condition going on either in democracy, government or society, social media etc. It shows the reality point of view of both the sides.

*The Press also acts as a crucial instruments of society. A person can forget the promises made by their leaders but a printed newspaper, video, or audio recording will act as a piece of reminding evidence for both citizens and the government.

Some journalists do perform string operations, do investigations and find out the reality. It helps to fight against corruption, fake/false allegations, false promises, disloyal behaviour or misuse of power in public or private life.

But.. their are some factors those threatenes the freedom of press!! They create a pressure zone on them Which results in change of the accuracy of the news .these factors includes corporate sectors they control press for business upliftment they pay extra for their promotions bribe for false promotion and manipulate small sectors. Killing news reporters and journalists/ attack on journalists they are murderd in result of showing truth against a particular group, Organisation or any political party.
