So whenever you sit with your family and spent a quality time with your family..they often talk about their early ages when they were kids. Ever happened?
Well well! Change is the rule of nature. As changes are the most favourable thing in the nature. And the change we are going to discuss about is 'cultural change'. From ancient time, to later 90s, then today's generation..we are facing various cultural change. That includes eating habits, wearing habits, reading habits and many more.
A traditionally dressed-up Couple
Basically we are going to view wearing changes among various communities from early ages till now.. fashion trends changes the clothing trends. Okay so just think about ancient times when Maharajas and maharanis used to exist they wore kinda heavy heavy lehenga and Shervani's.
As shown in the picture below..

At the same time the poor or middle class section wear Dhoti-kurtas and women wore sarees (cotton sarees).

As the time passed we approached British rule coming over which brought many changes in food habits like invention of spaghetti, ingredients etc. So as in the early times the lower section of women were not allowed to cover up their upper bodies so they adopted Western clothing system which includes long gown which doesn't require any kind of sections and the whole body was covered. The thinking that only gentleman's were supposed to dress up in suits and hats encouraged the poor and lower section to adopt western style of dressing. So, this was the start of westernization.

Saree and salwar kameez was included in traditional style of dressing. With the time changes we came to know about globalization that leads to more fashionable trends. With the invention of western music i.e. Pop music, invention of cinema, dramas a vast change occur now we jumped into early 20s or late 19s. Do you know about first movie in India? It was Raja Harishchandra in 1913 it was a silent Indian film directed by Dadasaheb Phalke it was the first Indian full length which impacted over great changes in history. Later on movies of Rajesh Khanna, Saira Baano, Mumtaz, Sunder Rao give a new trends to country. Then the era of Helen , Rekha, Jaya Bachchan, Heema Malini introduced Western styles of dance among females. Time passed away the early 20s include Shahrukh khan, Salman khan, Govinda , Anil Kapoor that provided hair trends among the normal audience. Now-a-days, dressing, hairs, music, styling everything has been changed. As society is getting modern and upgraded they are heading towards more and more westernization. Even along with dressing culture makeup has been upgraded even because of these changes it has provided the Job opportunity, carrier options among youngsters, many of them wants to be fashion designers ( one who designs various dresses, layouts for various ramp walks, functions, filmy industry etc.) Fashion influencers, make-up artists etc. It is a great achievement in the Field of globalization.

But every thing that have advantages also have some disadvantages like changes are the rule of nature . typically "Parivartan Sansar ka Niyam h" and because of this excuse we are forgetting our Indian culture.

Yes it is our choices that what we want to wear how we want to get dressed up!! But still this question often hits in my mind Like what we guys are doing? We are slowly slowly neglecting our Indian culture. We call it old fashioned or traditional style and go on with the western style. And they i.e. the visitors that visits our monuments used to carry Indian sarees, kurtas, salwars etc.
What are your opinions? Are the changes advantageous or disadvantageous to the culture? Share your opinions in the comment section.
